Now, when installing a new electrical service or upgrading an existing service, a builder, electrical contractor, or homeowner can install this generator-ready panel for very little additional cost over a basic panel. This allows a future generator installation to be performed without having to rewire the service or create sub-panels for the emergency circuits. 

The Model RSB Intelligent Transfer Switch eliminates the need for a second distribution panel and additional wiring for a standby residential generator, thus, resulting in less installation time and costs for the builder or electrical contractor. The two-in-one load center/transfer switch was developed in partnership with Square D and provides the new homeowner a Kohler generator-ready residence.
